About CWMN
California Women's Ministry Network was built on networking with friends starting back in the 1980's. Now in 2005 we are bringing our knowledge gained to the World Wide Web. Founder, Lisa J. Williams is a natural born leader and net worker. She enjoys connecting, and encouraging other speakers, writers, and women's ministry leaders to learn from each other, and widen their territory. I sat down with her to find out more. Lisa, why did you want to start CWMN? -I decided to start CWMN, after many friends who are in ministry as speakers/writers, and ministry directors, began encouraging me to create a central place, where we could connect, and learn from each other with out having to reinvent the wheel. -I've always believed in mentoring, and coaching others as you grow in your own ministry. It's much more exciting to go on the journey together. Why be specific to California only? -California is such a huge state, that one could easily fill their speaking schedule up without ever crossing the state line. I believe we have some of the most talented women speakers, and terrific churches right here in California. No offence to all my friends in other states - you know I'm here for you too. What do you envision for CWMN? -I see us becoming a warehouse of sorts. The possibilities are endless. Aren't there already Women's Ministry Networks out there? Won't you be in competition with them? -Yes, there are other sites, and some great ones, like Jennifer Rothschild’s, Women's Ministry Network. She has wonderful tips, and is doing a really good job. I see CWMN as a partner rather then a competitor. We are all unique unto our selves. How can women and organizations get involved? -Well, as you can see our site is still under construction, however if someone has an event, conference, or other information they'd like posted they can email me at lisajwill@yahoo.com RE:CWMN Is CWMN a "for profit" or "non-profit"? -CWMN is a division of, West Coast Women's Ministry Network, which is a 501c3 Non profit company. All donations are welcomed and Tax deductible. What is West Coast Women's Ministry Network? -WCWMN is the mother company, which will allow us to expand our territory when it's time. Which will please my dear friends in those other states. Now, if only we could move Florida a little closer.
